Light up a Life
Actress Bonnie Hunt, a former oncology nurse who worked with Dr. Rosen at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, was a special guest and one of the evening's speakers. Light Up a Life raised $1.27 million to support the Lurie Cancer Center and the groundbreaking work of Dr. Rosen and his colleagues. "Steve has had an unparalleled impact on Northwestern, attracting talented faculty, catalyzing collaborations, and inspiring colleagues to a new level of excellence," shared Dean Larry Jameson. "We are grateful to Mrs. Maggie Daley and Ms. Ann Lurie for hosting this marvelous evening and thank them for their unwavering support of Steve Rosen and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University." The Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University is dedicated to scientific discovery, advancing medical knowledge, offering compassionate, state-of-the-art cancer care and training the next generation of clinicians and scientists. The Lurie Cancer Center is the only "comprehensive" cancer center in Illinois and one of only thirty-nine in the nation to hold this prestigious National Cancer Institute designation.
